Tiny Game #2: Moving Platforms
A downloadable tiny game for Windows
Summary: This is the 2nd tiny game that I successfully completed via an Unreal Engine tutorial. The tutorial is a few years old and made for UE4, but I built it in UE5. I am building a total of 9 games purely from UE5 tutorials, in order to learn the basics of the engine. This particular game which I call 'Moving Platforms' is another very simple game that shows off some basic UE features. The tutorial I followed is Creating Your First Game in Unreal Engine 5 on Udemy, which is currently free. You can build the same game by following the tutorial too!
Installing and Running: Download the zipped file, then unzip the file. Run the TinyGame2.exe executable file, and the game should begin!
Gameplay Directions: You are a mannequin. Congrats! But now you have to reach the platform on the far upper right with a table & two chairs. The moving platforms that look like big garden planters move back & forth, and you can jump on them to reach the destination. Alert: The big platforms can't hold your weight, and fall down after about 15 seconds!
Controls:
- To move, use WASD along with your mouse to 'mouselook'.
 - To jump, press the Spacebar!
 - To pause the game and bring up the list of keys, press 'P' for pause.
 - To restart the level if you get stuck, just press 'R'.
 - To quit the game, simply press the Backspace button (or '<-Back' )
